Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Itinerary Description
Your driver-guide will pick you up from Entebbe Airport or your Kampala hotel at 7:00 AM. Begin your scenic journey southwest, stopping at the Uganda Equator for photos, coffee, and souvenir shopping.
Continue through Mbarara and the rolling green hills of Kigezi—often described as the “Switzerland of Africa”.
You will arrive at Bwindi in the late afternoon.
Check into your lodge, enjoy the cool misty air, and relax with beautiful forest views.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – The Ultimate Wildlife Encounter

Activity Duration: 2–7 hours depending on gorilla location
Itinerary Description
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on trekking rules, safety, and gorilla behavior. You will be assigned a gorilla family group based on your fitness level.
With an armed ranger leading, begin your trek through dense vegetation, steep trails, and breathtaking forest scenery. Once you find the gorillas, you are granted one full hour to observe and photograph them as they play, feed, groom, and interact.
This is one of the most emotional wildlife encounters on earth.
Return to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening, enjoy a cultural performance or visit the Batwa community to learn about their forest heritage.
